1. I Gave Myself Real Projects

Instead of waiting to feel “ready,” I made things: social media graphics, mock posters, fake brand kits. This gave me real-world experience—without clients or pressure.

2. I Studied Designs I Loved

I’d save Instagram posts, Behance projects, or Dribbble shots and analyze them. What fonts did they use? How was it laid out? What emotion did it evoke? Reverse-engineering helped me learn faster.

3. I Used Free Tools Like Canva & Figma

Canva was my starting point for composition and layout. Figma helped me dive into UI/UX basics later. Both were free, intuitive, and powerful for beginners.

4. I Asked for Feedback (Even When It Was Scary)

I joined design groups on Facebook and Reddit and posted my work. The feedback wasn’t always easy—but it was crucial for improvement.

Why You Don’t Need to Spend a Dime

There’s nothing wrong with paid courses, but they’re not a requirement. The internet is full of quality, free resources—you just need the willingness to show up consistently.
